Baalmon Permissions/Help Thread

For those not in the know, Azrael's ultimate form, Baalmon, has a certain... quirk. Namely, it doesn't matter what time or place you're from (or even if you're from a different dimension): if you have a question you don't know the answer to, said answer will always be somewhere on a charm in Baalmon's cloak.

However, to actually get said answer, you have to succeed at a trial (mental, physical, or emotional) before Azrael will give it to you -- and no, you can't steal the charm. Even if you could find the right one among the millions in his cloak, it's written in a language only Baalmon can read. While he is supposed to steal your soul if you fail said trial, Azrael will not actually do that except in the most extreme circumstances (such as you're a danger to himself or someone he cares for). Because of the wealth of things people could ask and the fact that I headcanon trials are based on the individual (via Baalmon "sensing" about them when they come to him), there is no way I can come up with fitting things for every single person who comes to him.

Therefore, this post.

If your character is the type to ask Baalmon a question, the way to make it the easiest on both of us is to fill out this form and post it here. Please do one per character, if you don't mind.

If you have any further questions about Baalmon or this process, feel free to ask me over PM or IM!

Because it's easy for this information to need to be updated or changed, I won't be replying to any posts in here so that you can edit them freely.

To explain, just in case...

Name: This is the name of your character. If you're posting with a journal not theirs, please also tell me what their journal name is.
Question(s): What question (or questions) would they pose to Baalmon? He'll only take one at a time, but a character can ask as many as they wish.
Answer(s): What is the answer(s) to the question(s) posed above? If one question has multiple possible answers and you're listing more than one, please note what answers go to which questions.
Trial(s): What trials would be fitting (or ironic) for this character to go through? This does not have to sync up with your questions and the more you give me here the more I can work with, but you have to at least give me enough trials to equal your number of questions (otherwise I can't reply if you ask him another question without a trial for it). Remember that trials can be physical, mental, or emotional. If you need help with thinking these up, get ahold of me somehow and I'll be glad to brainstorm.
Can He Take Your Soul?: As said above, this is only in the most extreme of cases, but if you are someone who Azrael would steal a soul from to protect himself or his friends, would you be okay with that? Obviously, if you say no, it won't happen, and this is unlikely to come up (especially since he only can if you fail), but it bears saying anyway. Please note that having your soul stolen is an agonizing process, so keep that in mind while deciding.

How it actually works would depend on the game that it occurred in, like so:

Ink City: It would end in death either way. Depending on what you want, the character's soul would either persist and follow Azrael so long as he was in Baalmon form or immediately return to the fountain for reviving. If remaining with Azrael, you can simply have it so it's "put away" (such as if you wanted to hiatus) or can actively communicate with Azrael and hijack his communicator as well.
